The Oak Park Huskies are a travel house hockey program that participates in the North West Hockey League. We offer teams at the following levels:
Mites (players born in 2003 & 2004)
Squirts (players bon in 2001 & 2002)
Peewee (players born in 1999 & 2000)
Bantam (players born in 1997 & 1998)
Players can expect to have about two practices a week as well as an average of one game a week. The season begins in mid September and goes until the end of February. Registration is taken on a first come first serve basis and while previous hockey experience is recommended, players will not need to try out for this program.
Home games are played at the Paul Hruby Ice Arena at Ridgeland Common and the program is supervised by Park District of Oak Park Staff.
In conjunction with the Park District of Oak Park Mission the Oak Park Huskies provide a friendly environment to develop individual and team skills. Park District of Oak Park Huskies strive to achieve team work, skill development and sportsmanship in all teams and players both on and off the ice. We also adhere to the values and ideals of the Northwest Hockey League.
Park District of Oak Park: In partnership with the community, we provide quality parks and recreation experiences for the residents of Oak Park.
